Sylvia is the office Administrator at the Tax Ladies. She earned a B.S. in Business Administration from North Carolina Wesleyan College. She has extensive experience in billing, cost accounting, planning and purchasing. Sylvia is that person that keeps everything running in the office. She is originally from LaGrange NC and now is semi-retired here in Brunswick County. She and her husband spend their time on the water as much as possible, volunteering at their church, and gardening.
Kay is a valuable member of our team. She moved to Ocean Isle Beach from Michigan, 7 years ago. She was a teacher for 25 years and looks back on her former career fondly. She enjoys reading and is a member of her community book club. Kay also enjoys her walking group and of course, beach time! This is Kay’s fifth season with the Tax Ladies and we are glad that Kay is on our team. When you arrive at the Tax Ladies Kay will more than likely be the one of the ladies that greets you and will make you feel at home.
Liz moved from the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia and is enjoying walking the beaches of Brunswick County as much as she did exploring the mountains of Virginia! She spent 20 years working as the admissions/development director at a private Christian school. Liz and her husband have three adult children and the most precious granddaughter in the world! In addition to spending time with family and friends, she enjoys kayaking, playing pickleball, knitting, volunteering, reading and long beach walks. We are glad she is on our team at the Tax Ladies.
Mavis is new to the Tax Ladies this year and she is quite energetic! Her previous work in the Federal Government fits nicely with the needs of our office support staff.
Deborah is new to the Tax Ladies this season. Her arrival in the area has been a great move for her. She really enjoys the area and we are glad she is part of the team. Her years of experience with administration is a big help to the Tax Ladies.
Jim is a retired Senior Army Aviator after 37 years of service. As an Army Aviator he is rated in airplanes and helicopters. He served as an Instrument Flight Examiner, Instructor Pilot, Maintenance Test Pilot and Unit Commander. Jim helps out around the office as the network administrator, responsible for the computers, printers, copiers and what ever else needs to get done. Some days he just goes flying or fishing.
